The operator that set up fan websites for several pop stars has agreed to pay $1m (£0.6m) to settle charges that it collected personal data about children.
The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) had alleged that Artist Arena collected e-mails, birth dates, and names of about 100,000 children under 13-years-old, without parental consent.The operator ran sites for Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez and Rihanna. For more click here
