As Facebook becomes a publicly traded company worth as much as $100 billion, it's become a part of daily life for hundreds of millions of users. Here's a snapshot of how people across the globe use the site.
901 million worldwide users. 58% of all Facebook users are women, while 42% of Facebook users are men. Average Facebook user is 38 years old, has 229 facebook friends, and makes 7 new facebook friends per month.
